Three Brothers Satay Celup

After a few days and holidays of boredom and no longer having cafe hopping style like my previous
lifestyle, finally we came to this new place and waited 30 mins for our turn to eat at Three Brothers Satay Celup. The waiting time is slightly shorter and minus the distance needed to go all the way to Melaka for Satay Celup. So of course the price is also a bit more expensive at RM 1.30 per stick.

After having bread at Donutes to solve our starvation problem, and waiting another 20 mins, it was finally our turn. It was so much joy for me to take any lok-lok I like from the fridge. The service of the staff was quite efficient in refilling and stirring the satay sauce frequently for us.

There is also BBQ service for the satay meat, lamb, beef, fish and chicken wings but you have to wait another 30-45 mins for the staff to BBQ for you. The seafood is quite fresh too.

We spent RM 70 plus just eating Satay Celup for 2 pax, quite a lot of expenses for a hot stuffy place with no air-cond and just lok-lok

Finally after waiting for 30 mins, our BBQ food arrived:

Ice-cream Bar

After waiting for so long, I finally fulfilled my wish to have alcoholic ice-cream in this laid-back ice-cream cafe.

I think this is one of the only ice-cream cafes in KL that serve alcoholic ice-cream like XO cranberry, milo alcohol etc but somehow only the whiskey coffee ice-cream has the best taste compared to the rest of the flavours.

Crunchy Whiskey Coffee Ice-Cream (RM 8 + RM 2.50 for flavour)

This is the best whiskey ice-cream I ever had. Each scoop is just heavenly, tasting of pure alcohol bliss. Mmmm........

Rum and Raisin Ice-Cream (RM 8 + 1.90 for flavour)

The rum and raisin flavour was only chosen because it at least contains a bit of bitter alcohol taste compared to the rest which is too sweet for me. Addition of chocolate waffle cone costs RM 2 here.

Backofen

I was craving for alcoholic ice-cream so we planned our Sunday dinner in Desa Sri Hartamas. I found out about this splendid place called Backofen which serves food at such cheap price. Can you imagine cappuccino at RM 5.90 and soup at RM 5-6? Well, the soup are all of high quality with a lot of ingredients inside, definitely not the Pizza Hut ciplak type of diluted mushroom soup!

Goulash Soup (RM 6)

The Goulash soup is so thick with such big chunks of beef inside and crinkled cut potatoes, carrots and celeries. It is even better than the goulash I had in Hungary or Publika which is too salty.

 Grilled Lamb (RM 18)

Can you believe it we can get 3 slabs of lamb at RM 18? Amazing right! And tasty baked potatoes to
with!

Chicken Schnitzel (RM 14)

I was a little apprehensive about ordering this initially because schnitzels are known to be really harsh and hard. But I ordered it anyway when I thought about it being the famous Austrian food. Thank god it turned out my order was right and the schnitzel was the best I have ever eaten in my life as the meat was tender.

Italian Delight Cake (RM 5.90)

There are many tempting pastries here that even those who rarely spend for desserts will order due to incredibly low prices. Imagine scones and cream puff at RM 1.50 only! Even the cakes at Bread History or any bakery cost about RM 8 nowadays! The cake is also not sweet at all and very beautifully made, just that it lacks the strong flavours I look for in cakes.

The Soda Twists - Red Raspberry and Passionfruit flavoured - costs a whopping RM 4! So head here for any of your meals even breakfast as their pancakes costs only RM 6 and Big Breakfast costs RM 18!

It is definitely the place to be if you have a big family and a lot of children due to the cheap price and coupled with the superb taste!
