Naj & Belle

We passed by Naj & Belle few times but every time, I couldn't bear to part with my penny for such exorbitantly priced cakes that cost almost RM20ish per cake. There are many who are affluent enough to afford it and always like to hang out there during tea time.

Since we have been eyeing the watermelon cake for so long, we finally relented and decided to try one day, since life is short! I guess I was also influenced by my friend's sister's Facebook post about the watermelon cake in Australia.

I sat at the outside alfresco dining which has lots of sunlight normally but it was a rainy day. The cake was very sinful and pure bliss. The high price is probably because they need to layer the strawberries (an expensive fruit in Malaysia) and also put in fresh cream. The cake was also not as sweet as conventional cakes. Truly bliss

Mykori

Mykori is so famous in Malaysia for the shaved ice but I haven't tried it! I'm speaking the truth! It is because I could not bear to spend so much for just a giant shaved ice!

So finally, since I had itchy mouth, decided to try its famous Honey Dew Shaved Ice which was quite a good experience. It was such a challenging task for both of us to finish the entire huge shaved ice but had to finish it no matter how since it cost us almost RM20 ++ for that alone!

Chye Seng Foo Coffee Shop

People of yesteryear, would look at the word "coffee shop" as a place of low value and somewhere very hot and stuffy. It would not come to mind a place like Chye Seng Foo which sells F&B at high prices of at least RM 15 and above for food. The price of food was affordable but it means portions were really small.

We had to do two turns as the cafe was located at the roadside but one needs to go through the housing area to reach.

Moreover, it is an upscale and trendy place where a lot of youngsters frequent. I even saw a guy who endlessly look for instagrammable spots for taking photos of his food and drinks. I mean he was crazier than me in that terms.

The only difference is unlike other cafes which have free water, they don't serve any for free and you need to order mineral water at RM 2.

Lychee Meatball Rice (RM 15)

This is one of the unique menu here where they serve rice with lychee, sunny-side up and delicious meatballs. In fact, though I am not a fan of meatball, I find it funny that I actually like the meatball which was tender and slightly crispy on the outside. The mixture of sweetness from the lychee, pineapple and little drizzle of sweet and sour sauce was just nice.

Piglet Bolognese Pasta (RM 15)

The pasta is just simple, and taste like homemade sauce with carrot, celery, sunny-side-up and also 2 pieces of bacon. They also gave fettucine instead of the common spaghetti.

 Houjicha Latte (RM 12)

The Houjicha latte is to die for as it was very thick with hojicha. I really could not take it when the smell of milk is overpowering for matcha.

Berry Cheesecake

The frozen cheese cake is not bad, not too cheesy as I am not a cheesecake fan. Initially I had problem trying to decide to order this or the matcha chiffon which is popular here. The cheese cake had blueberry in the middle and surrounded by fresh fruits as garnishing which is what makes it unique here.

Aka Cafe

Cafes with cute desserts are rare gems in KL so when I chanced upon Aka Cafe when googling online, I couldn't let go of the chance.

This cafe looks very cosy but the menu is rather limited, most of the desserts sold are dango and mochi, served in a presentable way and at quite a high price of at least RM 20 and above.

Gudetama themed mochi set came with sesame flavours overall for the ice-cream, and Gudetama mochi. Even the egg tarts were served like a dim sum.

Maison de Gigi

Ever since I heard this unique name in Facebook, I have a secret wish to try the desserts which is waffles. It is located at the ground floor of Sunway Pyramid and we went there one day after a lot of walking. I like the modern chic interior design that is quite striking.

We had some curry thing inside the waffle sandwich which was just normal and nothing to shout about and also some soda drink.

The price is quite expensive at about RM 20 ++ for these.
