Chu Cha Dan Fan

Whenever we want to eat Szechuan food at a reasonable price and convenient place, we will come to this place which is near my office.

Chicken Hotpot

The chicken hotpot is cooked in dry style with a lot of dried chillies.

Celery with Tofu

I rarely order this because it reminds me of chap fan. But the dish is quite tasty albeit a bit oily.

Eat One More

I think I have kind of over-ordered today. Szechuan food just take ages to arrive but when it did, it arrived a lot. The cafe at Section 14, PJ, near Digital Mall, lack good ventilation and smells of too much chilli oil.

Szechuan Chilli Fish

The fish is very soft and had bean sprouts inside. I still prefer the one served by the other szechuan cafe in SS14.

Seaweed Appetizer

I have always been a big fan of seaweed and loved this one to bits. It is super spicy too and the portion is awfully big that we kept it for cooking with spaghetti the next day.

Handmade Noodles with Meat

The portion is again so big that it fits for two, so if you come here, do order 1 bowl of noodles to be shared. There is capsicum inside too. The noodles are just ok if you like pan mee but not that great if you like the noodles to be smooth like how I do.

Gyoza

The gyoza is just normal and not that special.

The whole bill came up to almost RM 70!

Xiang Man Qing Restaurant

Xiang Man Qing is a big Chinese Sichuan-Hunan restaurant operated by China Chinese boss. It is located in Fraser Business Park.

The appetizer were cabbage preserved in a whole lot of chilli till it is too spicy.

Pork on Hanger (RM 32)

One of my favourite food here is the Pork on Hanger (RM 32). I really like this thinly sliced pork till my guilt of eating fatty pork was hidden aside! I even stole others' share, excusing myself  by saying they have tried the same food before. There is chilli oil served in the middle. The meat is presented so beautifully, that from seeing the photo and from afar, it looks like they are mere sliced cucumber!

 Garlic Crayfish (RM 68)

The presentation is really pretty here whereby the crayfish is arranged in the form of a flower. The sauce is also very sweet. Underneath are bamboo slices.

Hand-Grabbed Lamb Rib (RM 68)

When this item arrived, the smell is very pungent due to the high amount of big round pepper used. The lamb ribs are roasted till super dry and one could easily eat this like how the cavemen do it.

Salted Egg Yolk Prawn (RM 28)

It looks like any normal steamed egg with fake crab meat. We initially thought there would be lala inside.

Seafood Thai (RM 128)

This is the priciest of the lot as it contains a lot of seafood like small crab, bamboo clams, lala, prawns, scallops, 1 whole fish and straw mushrooms. The sauce is also quite tasty.

Garlic Vermicelli Steamed Prawn (market price)

This is my other favourite food whereby I had eaten 3 pieces of the prawns that are beautifully arranged. The garlic and prawn juices combination make this really sweet.

Spicy Chicken Gizzard (RM 32)

I am not sure about others but I kind of fancy chicken gizzard. They cooked with crunchy greens and also traditional Sichuan chili.

Pepper Pig Stomach & Chicken Soup (RM 48)

Drinking this is nostalgic as it brings back memories of my babysitter cooking this whenever we pray to our ancestors. The soup is very sweet and has strong pepper taste. The portion is very big, in a large claypot.

Boiled Beef (RM 42)

The beef is cooked with bean sprouts and a lot of chilli oil.

I also take a liking to the Herbal Tea which is not overly sweet.

Ke-Kho Chinese Restaurant

We were so hungry food-hunting on a Saturday, after waiting for my  friend to finish work so we just ate at wherever we see fit. Actually, my friend was angry at me for still wanting to eat at a restaurant that I have never been though my stomach was growling so much, such typical foodie, can be forgiven eh?

This place serves the cheapest sichuan food ever, except that since I was preparing for an overseas trip, I did not want to have too much chilli in my stomach.

My friend ordered his favourite Yangzhou Fried Rice (RM 9.90) which is quite tasty and fragrant. I like how the yellowish colour turned out.

Spicy sze chuan beef handmade noodles (RM 9.90) with radish and a lot of chilli flakes were so tasty, and I even added more chilli as I hold strongly to the principle, that without chilli, there is no spice to life. The small pieces of beef tendon are quite tasty too.

Dumplings (RM 10) were super soft and the meat inside so tender and sweet and totally amazing when dipped into the chilli and ginger vinegar sauce.
