Brazzo Cascades :Gastropub, Steakhouse & Wine Bar

This is a relatively new place in Kota Damansara. If not because of my friend's invitation to dinner, I would not have know this great place! The parking is free for now probably because it just opened. There is a colourful fountain in the middle of the square with a few pubs around like Bottle and a Spanish spa. There are two areas for the restaurant, one is with a/c and a non-smoking zone that serves meals for families. The other area is more like a classy lounge with sophisticated arm chair and dark wood accents. Sandwiched in between the two enclosure, is al fresco dining area with a stage, probably for future plans for night bands.

Our food took quite long while to arrive because there were about 30 of us today.

Mixed Ham Pizza (RM 29.80)

This contains chef''s combination of premium ham with mozzarella cheese and served on homemade dough. Plain and simple to suit anyone.

Char-grilled Chicken Thigh (RM 25.80)

It was tasty when it comes with fresh and juicy cranberries that lent the sourish and sweetish taste to the chicken. A must-order, I would say!

Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna (RM 72.80)

This is one of my favourites! Ahem, tuna that is just slightly cooked, where the freshness remains, is just heavenly! Some cranberry and button mushrooms are clever play of the senses, sweet and sour! Now this is what I call fine dining!

Spaghetti Carbonara (RM 24.80)

The carbonara sauce is so thick and creamy with a lot of bacons swimming inside.

Iberico Pork Cheek (RM 103.80)

The pork cheek is quite ok but I'm not a good judge of pork anyway.

Char-grilled New Zealand Lamb Rack (RM 78.80)

The lamb is just as tasty as the other meat items. This place proves to famous for meat, pork, lamb, steak etc and all things meat.

XL Hokkaido Scallops Aglio Olio (RM 35.80)

The succulent and juicy scallops are fresh and there are 4 pieces served for the olio. The olio is not done al dente but done Malaysian style. I like the sauce though.

Oven-Baked Atlantic King Cod Fish (RM 78.80)

This is my other favourite as I am a big fan of cod fish and all things seafood instead of pork. The fish is so soft, succulent that it practically melted in my mouth. The skin is nicely done and not overdone till black. Even the broccolis are done just nice and not overdone.

XL Hokkaido Scallops with Balsamic Tomato Salsa (RM 42.80)

The giant scallops are so succulent and delicious. It was served with blackish sauce due to the balsamic vinegar and also grilled cherry tomatoes. I like the finishing product in terms of taste.

Family Platter (RM 158)

This is so huge that the photos turned out so fabulous! There are mixture of different parts of pork, german sausages, french fries, and a lot of fried food together. I also like the platter of different sauces like thai chilli sauce, BBQ sauce, salsa, special purplish onion strips that people usually eat with german sausages.

We ended dinner with Blue Curacao and other types of cocktail that the bartender created. The cocktail costs RM 25 each.

After eating all that, I realized why so many people eat here instead of at the other cafes and restaurants that are abound in The Strand and also Kota Damansara area. All the food is superb.
