Sawasde Thai Kitchen & Cafe

Suddenly I had craving for thai food last weekend. I guess thats because I didnt eat Thai food when I was in Langkawi island for work purposes. So here I am to the nearest Thai restaurant in USJ. The last time i came here was with a stranger in one of my dangerous lifestyle in the past!

Tom Yam Seafood (RM 25)

I can safely say that the tom yam alone is more than enough for 2-3 pax! For 2 of us, we could have just eaten rice/plan bihun (RM 3) with this alone and get really full! There was so much ingredients inside as well as seafood in the amazingly spicy tom yam concoction!

Thai Style Sambal with Vegetables (RM 18)

When I ordered this earlier, I thought the vegetables was going to be fried with sambal and didn't expect it to be served ulam style as Jonathan didn't like ulam as much as me! But he loves the thinly sliced deep fried eggplant whereas I went crazy with the tastiest Penang nyonya styled sambal belacan which I brought back and kept for 2 weeks to be dipped into anything!

Menya Zen Japanese Noodle

We passed by this Japanese restaurant again today on my second visit to Hair Color Expert to have the cheapest hair colouring done before my last wedding dinner next weekend. I found the cheapest Japanese bento set in whole Klang Valley ever, besides Sushi Rotary in Puchong!

L1 Katsu Don (RM 15)

The Japanese curry chicken with rice and deep fried breaded Salmon was just amazing and so worth the price! Well, frozen salmon in any hypermarket already costs RM 15! This set contains chawanmushi, green tea, 3 slices of Japanese zucchini, Japanese curry with potatoes and carrots, mashed potato with carrots and vegetables and also 2 slices of watermelon! What else could you ask for?

L9 (RM 15)

The original udon comes with thick sauce but they were flexible enough to allow me to change to katsu Japanese curry udon! I was so grateful! It also comes with tender teriyaki chicken!

The place is also very cost for families and friends. Although most of the employees are immigrants, it is surprising that they did a good job!

Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar

It seems that whenever I have sushi craving, this is my GO-TO place due to the reasonable price! So I spread the good words to my in-laws as brother-in-law when he came to KL in Jan 2017 as he loves sushi and Japanese food too!

Cheesy Shake Roll (RM 22.80)

This contains cheese with tuna but done very beautifully.

Sushi Bento (RM 15.90)

It costs a whopping RM 15.90 for this big bento set on a weekday as it is one of the weekday set lunches! Great fresh sushi!

Yaki Udon Set (RM 16.90)

This is also one of the weekdays lunch special and it comes with fruits and also cold orange juice! The udon is not bad and has a big portion too!

Sanma Shioyaki Bento Set (RM 10.90)

Another delicious and tender fish!

Tempura Set (RM 13.90)

This is quite worth the price paid too! Tempura much better than the one at Mid Valley food court for the price paid!

Salmon Sashimi (RM 18)

Oh did I tell you that if you come on Friday, there is a Buy 1 free 1 Salmon sashimi offer? Thats just amazing! And this is much fresher and displayed in a prettier manner than the RM 25-30 sashimi at Three Brothers.

Tori Karaage Special (RM 5.80)

There was also a special promo on Karaage of only RM 5.80 instead of more than that! My nephew likes this as well as most of their family.

Furai Salmon Skin (RM 6.80)

It seems that everywhere my mum-in-law goes, she loves to order fish skin! And luckily I like it too!

Ebi Tempura (RM 17.80)

My clever nephew has developed a liking for tempura from today onwards so his dad ordered the entire ebi tempura ala-carte specially for him!

Some tasty sushi ate are my favourite seaweed which I discovered Jeremiah likes it too! We happen to all like sashimi salmon, butterfish and also fish roe!

While the promo is still on, do post a photo of their food and tag them on Facebook and get a free mochi / ice-cream! Do opt for the mango ice-cream!

Patty and Pies

Me and my blogger friends Eddy, Sin Yee, Betty, Leong Wai, Alicia met up on 11th Day of CNY 2017 at Pin Xiang in Aman Suria for dinner followed by coffee at Patty and Pies which seems to be famous for its wood oven roasted pizza.

We ordered a special dessert that has a lot of nutella on the pizza!

NSK Citarasa Market Steamboat

We brought my in-laws here to experience the shopping experience of eating steamboat. I discovered this place when I came with my ex-CG group here for CNY dinner.

On 13 Jan 2017, I discovered that there is fresh oysters here at only RM 11 per piece! The oysters are also imported!

We really like the giant clams at RM 21 for only 2 pieces! Very fresh!

We had 2 promotion set for RM 9.90 each! (see inset photo below) and it came with fried foo chuk, egg, cabbage, fishballs, prawns, fish slice, yee mee...

Me and mum likes to eat fish skin but it was a bit salty. I still prefer the fish skin in KK or Miri!

The Crab with black pepper sauce and glass noodles are just not a good combo which spoilt the good taste of the crab. Probably should not be so adventurous next time and stick with normal flavours!

By now, mum in law had too much crab that she vowed never to have crab anymore! The price is very reasonable at only RM 68 for 3 big pieces!

Leong Ya Kitchen

We came here after we exhausted the restaurant directory near our housing area to bring my in-laws in Jan 2017!

Stir Fried Clams with Dried Shrimps (RM 17)

This is quite tasty and spicy!

Stewed Pork Trotters in Black Vinegar (RM 16)

This is quite ok and fancy me saying I am ok with pork trotters of all things! I guess I like anything sourish!

Thai Style Tofu (RM 16)

I am someone who likes anything sour and spicy and contains tofu so what more can I ask for?

Mon Boulangerie

On 14 Jan 2017, I brought my mother-in-law here for breakfast just before bringing her for the cheapest hair coloring in whole KL in Hair Color Expert, Sri Petaling. Little did I know she doesn't like western styled breakfast like Jonathan.

Apple Pie Mocha Latte (RM 8.90)

They serve the cheapest and tastiest, weirdest combination of latte and coffee here. Ever heard of Apple pie mocha latte? Or peppermint latte? Well, here you have it and it's not bad too!

Mon Big Breakfast (RM 19.90)

The big breakfast is really BIG with all the sausage, ham, toast, scrambled egg, hashbrown, baked beans, bacon and cherry tomatoes and the best grilled mushrooms!

Seafood Pesto Spaghetti (RM 16.90)

This is just superb! I am kinda crazy over pesto and it tasted even better with calamari, prawns and scallops.
