Day 5 - 15 April 2018 Osaka: Kuromon Ichiba Market

After gallivanting in Osaka Castle area, we skipped going to Kema Sakuranomiya Park which is 30 mins from the castle. It was more important to go to Kuromon Ichiba Market before it closes.

Salivating...

I bought my first Fugu Sashimi (Poisonous Blowfish) and Unagi Sticks

Fugu sashimi actually tasted delicious! Transparent/translucent, fresh and soft with not much taste.

Kobe Beef

Crab Legs (300 yen)

Super Expensive Octopus Sticks at 200 Yen per stick

The key to finding cheaper seafood is to walk all the way to the end of the market, and when it's near to closing time, the hawkers will have special promotion of grilled juicy tender scallops for only 400 Yen compared to the hawkers at the front area which still sells at expensive prices like 600 Yen.

Den Den Town

Kuromon Ramen - Roadside Ramen (near JR for Den Den Town)

The ramen was so tasty and flavourful. The only thing is I took the yellow pickle and since it dropped on the table, I placed it aside and at the end the hawker pointed at it forcing us to gobble it.

Pork Bone Soy Ramen (750 Yen)

Forgot to take photo of his tasty fried rice with pork (400 Yen)

Dotonburi

This time round I went shopping at Forever 21 from 8.30 pm - 10.02 pm till Jon was frustrated. There was such a big sale till about 500 yen for a skirt! Even the tights had buy 1 free 1 so I wasn't aware till I was paying and had to go all the way up to the 3rd floor to get more. I ended up shopping till 5538 Yen entirely! It was a great buy as I never bought Forever 21 in Malaysia due to expensive price.

After heavy shopping, had satisfy Jon's grumbling tummy by going to Creo-ru restaurant to dine. The entire sampling set (about 1500 yen ++) containing mini okonomoyaki, 3 pieces of kushikatsu, beer, and 3 takoyaki. Another ala-carte was yakisoba which was too salty for my palate.
