During my last trip to Penang Island, one of my colleagues in Penang recommended me to great prawn mee in Bayan Baru which is at 888 Coffee Shop, just opposite Sunshine Square. It is opened from afternoon till night. Luckily it was still opened at 8pm when I arrived.
I would testify that this is the best prawn mee I have ever eaten in Bayan Baru! I was so glad to find one that is near my housing area. The soup is also thick and spicy enough. You can also add pork leg or pork skin into the soup.
There is only one other stall, selling cheap Lok Lok with great sauces. I ordered octopus, kangkung and cuttlefish.
